The 110th Airlift Wing competed in the 23rd annual Cereal City Corporate Cup, which began Thursday, September 9, 2010 and ended Saturday, September 11, 2010. As part of the Activate America Program, the Corporate Cup is a demonstration of community health, fitness and spirit drawing 4,000 participants from local area corporations and businesses. The Wing Corporate Cup team consisted of 66 participants who competed in 12 events; basketball, banner contest, swimming, volleyball, tennis, golf, tug of war, 10 mile bike race, 5K walk/run and one mile walk/run. Notable performances were turned in by the men's/women's 5K running team who took second and fourth places respectively in their division. The mixed swim team won third place and the mixed basketball team secured fourth place. "Considering the terrible weather on Saturday, I am very pleased with our fourth place finish. The team had a great attitude, gave 100% and enjoyed competing in this community event," noted Team Captain Senior MSgt. Chris Nozicka. "Thanks to all of the Commanders, Chiefs and First Sergeants who supported this program." To all 110AW members who have athletic ability, please consider participating in next year's Corporate Cup Competition!
