This June's wing formation saw the 110th Airlift Wing members forming up in a rather humid hangar awaiting the presentation of awards and a few words from Col. Seidel. The single star flag standing behind the podium signaled the attendance of Brig. Gen. Michael W. Callan, Vice Commander of the 17th Air Force. Also in attendance was Command Chief Master Sgt. Michael Dalton, Michigan Air National Guard.

Unusual to this wing formation was the speed of the awards presented. At two awards per minute and a total time of 14 minutes, the awards portion of the ceremony contributed to one of the fastest wing formations ever.

Following the awards, Cola. Seidel spoke about the future plans for the 110th Airlift Wing and its members. With new money for construction projects, new programs in cyber defense and pilots off to train on the C-27 this month, Cola. Seidel reassured that the 110th Airlift Wing will be a strong presence in Michigan for many years to come.
