Awards Ceremony Highlights Achievements Published Dec. 6, 2009 By Tech. Sgt. Jonathan Stein 110 Fighter Wing, Public Affairs Battle Creek ANGB -- The 110th Fighter Wing held its 2009 awards ceremony on Saturday, December 5th. The entire unit was present to recognize members receiving awards, ribbons, and degrees from the Air Force Community College. Once members received their awards Col. Rodger Seidel gave his remarks announcing that the 110th Fighter Wing would soon be designated as the 110th Airlift Wing later on in the month. He also talked about 2009 accomplishments and that the unit saw 260 members deploy around the world including 31 members from the 110th Security Forces to Southwest Asia for six months. The 110th Civil Engineers also had a deployment to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. In addition, 2009 saw the stand up of two new missions with the C-21 aircraft arriving and the 110th Air Operations Group.
