August 5, 2012 -- The 110th Communications Flight, 110th Mission Support Group, 110th Airlift Wing, Michigan Air National Guard, distinguished itself by exceptionally outstanding achievement from 19 October 2009 to 18 October 2011. During this period, the 110th Communications Flight accomplished its mission with a maximum degree of dedication and ceaseless effort. The Flight deployed members in support of 1st Air Force A6, National Guard Bureau A6, and the Integrated Network Operations and Security Center East providing mission assurance, enhanced defense in depth, critical system restoration and program management. Operating at peak efficiency the 110th Communications Flight facilitated the installation of 23.5 million dollars worth information technology projects; scheduled, reviewed and accepted more than 200 miles of copper and fiber optic cabling; completed more that 3,500 work orders in support of 1000 plus customers; and expertly facilitated a 700 percent increase of classified network assets for new missions. Utilizing innovative planning and highly competent and dependable members the Flight implemented state of the art technologies ensuring operational readiness and continuous inspection compliance. The distinctive accomplishments of the members of the 110th Communications Flight reflect great credit upon themselves the Michigan Air National Guard and the United States Air Force.
