110th Medical Group conducts Emergency Medical Simulation Training at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine
Air National Guard members assigned to the 110th Medical Group, Battle Creek Air National Guard Base, Mich., participate in Emergency Medical Simulation Training Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine, Kalamazoo, Mich. In total eight medics and three nurses participated in day long skills refresher training rotations and team simulations as part of their two year training requirement. The team worked with Dr. William Fales, Associate Professor of Department of Emergency Medicine and Director of Emergency Medical Services to receive training in Airway Management, Vascular Access and Hemorrhage Control, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Skills Review with active simulations in Cardiac and Trauma.
